NAKED PALETTE
Urban Decay's Naked 1 Palette!
I know you guys must have heard a lot about this palette. I have some swatches here for you guys in case you wanted to know what it looks like. The pictures are with flash and without flash.
So, I know there is a lot of hype about this palette, andddd you may be reading this review because you want to know whether or not you should purchase it. Well, my answer for you is yes...and no. Let me tell you why:
First of all, these shadows are great. They are creamy and true to the color in the pan when they go onto your eyelids. I like all the neutral colors in the palette and they are good for everyday, or night time. There are many different looks you can use this palette for.
WHY I BOUGHT IT:
I was hesitant about purchasing this palette because it does cost $50. For a regular person like me, that's a lot to spend just on make up. However, I had been purchasing eye shadows and searching for perfect colors I could use on a day to day basis. I know there are a lot of dupes for the colors in the drugstore, but it was just too much of a hassel to find and buy each one. When I travel, this palette is great! I can take it anywhere. It's $50...but if you buy 5 eye shadow quads for $10 each, that easily adds up to $50. Since I have had this palette, I haven't really bought any other eye shadows. To justify the price I promised myself that everything I needed is in this palette! Annnd, it's true! I use this palette every single day and I still have not hit pan yet!
WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BUY IT:
There aren't very many reasons I can give. However, I will say that if you are new to makeup, low on $, or not a big eye shadow person, you shouldn't get this palette. I think if you are just looking for simple everyday eye shadows, there are many drugstore quads out there that will do the trick. You won't get as much versatility but, it will probably save you about $40! If you can't shell out the money to spend on a $50 palette, I would suggest putting this on your wish list for Christmas or your birthday! ;)
